At AppliedFX, we’re always proud to support organisations that make a real difference in our community. A recent project with Horsham Area Community Car Scheme (HACCS) was exactly that.
Established in 1996, HACCS is a not-for-profit organisation and volunteer-run scheme providing essential transport for people who are unable to use public transport. Their volunteer drivers use their own cars to help elderly residents travel to medical appointments, hospitals across Sussex and Surrey, clubs, societies, hairdressers, shopping trips and more. It’s a vital service that keeps people connected, independent and supported across the Horsham district.
When HACCS approached us, they were looking for branded lanyards with plastic pouches, along with professionally printed business cards. They also needed their logo recreated so it could be reproduced clearly and consistently across print.
We supplied bold purple lanyards featuring large white HACCS lettering for maximum visibility. Each lanyard was paired with a clear plastic pouch designed to hold their double-sided business cards. The cards themselves were thoughtfully designed with space for handwritten details, making them practical for volunteers when arranging transport. The finished result was smart, professional and perfectly suited to a community-facing organisation where trust and clarity matter.
While lanyards are often associated with large corporate events, exhibitions or for large companies with keycards, they are just as valuable for colleges, charities and community groups. Clear identification builds reassurance, particularly when volunteers are working with elderly or vulnerable individuals.
